Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist
SSW, Hons. BA, BSW, MSW, RSW
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. I am here to help you achieve optimal mental health so that you can live your life with strength and joy.
Life is difficult sometimes and we need to lean on each other to get through them. I specialize in providing a caring and supportive ear to those that are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, anger management, ADHD, grief, trauma and the stress of everyday life.
I have worked within the social service field for over 25 years in Canada and England. I have worked with individuals of all ages to help them gain coping skills to successfully navigate through their lives.
I use therapeutic techniques such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Expressive Arts Therapy, Brief Solution-focused Therapy, DBT, Trauma and Resiliency Approaches, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness.
